Rampini, renowned as the market leader in zero-emission buses, has triumphed in the Consip tender organized for the acquisition of 8-meter electric buses. The company has inked a contract to provide plug-in recharge buses as part of this milestone achievement. The vehicles, procured through Consip, are financed with resources allocated by the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan).

Rampini clinched the Consip tender by presenting the Eltron model, manufactured at its state-of-the-art facilities in Passignano sul Trasimeno (PG), Italy. The Eltron, Italy's sole 8-meter electric bus, is available in two or three-door versions, boasting a width of 2.2 meters and a capacity to accommodate up to 48 passengers. Powered by a 230-kilowatt electric motor that charges a 280 kWh battery, it ensures a range exceeding 200 kilometers, capable of meeting diverse operational requirements. Immense attention has been devoted to designing the interiors to guarantee passengers high safety and comfort standards.

"The Consip tender, facilitated by PNRR funds, represents an unparalleled opportunity for a genuine energy transition in the public transport sector. We take immense pride in contributing to this transition by offering buses exclusively manufactured in Italy. The Eltron model, which secured the Consip tender, epitomizes a fusion of technology and environmental sustainability. Today, we are reaping the benefits of the investments made over the years to modernize production, emerging as a driving force and an opportunity to revitalize the Italian industrial landscape," stated Engineer Franco Rampini, President of Rampini.

The contract is set to become operational by June 2023, empowering Public Administrations to acquire buses with or without specific customizations. In the case of customization, the buses can be tailored to incorporate colors, liveries, additional equipment for the driver's seat and passenger compartment, onboard and passenger safety devices, driving assistance systems, and comprehensive maintenance services.
