Gazprom Neft commissioned 44 new outlets throughout its filling station network in 2020, with geographic coverage increasing to now include 45 of Russia’s regions. New stations were opened in the Moscow, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Kostroma, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Smolensk, Tomsk and Tyumen Oblasts, as well as in the Altaisky Krai, Krasnodarsky Krai and Krasnoyarsky Krai, and the Adygea, Altai and Mordovia Republics.
Cutting-edge digital, energy-saving and environmentally-friendly technologies have been used in building new (and modernising existing) filling stations, with the first ever solar-powered Gazprom Neft station opening in the Yaroslavl Oblast. Self-service tills have been installed in test mode at a number of stations in Moscow and St Petersburg, allowing customers to pay for café and other non-fuel goods independently.
Various anti-epidemic measures have been deployed throughout Gazprom Neft filling stations since March 2020, ensuring the safety of both visitors and staff. Fifty-two percent of automatic stations throughout the Gazprom Neft network are now fitted with ultraviolet antibacterial lighting, and protective plexiglass “sneeze-guard” screens have been fitted in station checkout areas. Employees are adhering strictly to mask- and glove-wearing regimes, and are cleaning and disinfecting premises regularly. All Gazprom Neft filling station clients can access online fuel-payment options through the company’s own apps. Retail clients’ appetite for digital services saw a significant increase in demand in 2020, thanks to a faster settlements system and enhanced security for contactless payments. Usage of the Gazprom Neft network and AZS.GO apps increased by as much as 20% per month, reaching the two-million mark.
