Petrobras has cancelled the process of the Tupi AIP Consortium, Production Individualization Agreement, for contracting Engineering, Acquisition, Construction and Installation services of submarine rigid pipelines, SURF, of the WAG Full Field Initiative of the Tupi Field due to the company McDermott, winner of the competitive process, refused to sign the contract after the third call from Petrobras.Petrobras is internally evaluating the financial impacts of cancelling the contract, as well as initiating the administrative process for any applicable sanctions and indemnities.Petrobras also informs that the WAG Full Field Initiative at Campo de Tupi remains in the portfolio of current investment opportunities and projects and is studying a new contracting strategy to return to the market.The Tupi Field WAG Full Field Initiative aims to increase the oil recovery factor of the field through the alternating injection of water and gas and consists of converting 15 water injection wells into water injection wells and through the acquisition and installation of gas injection pipelines, connected to 5 UEPs (Stationary Production Units) in the Tupi field.The Tupi AIP Consortium is formed by Petrobras, as Leader and Operator, with a 67.216% share, and the other partners: Shell (23.024%), Petrogal (9.209%) and União (0.551%), represented by Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA).”
