US energy supplier SoCalGas has taken another step toward transitioning fleet to run on clean fuels with collaboration with Landi Renzo USA. Over the next four months, Landi Renzo will convert SoCalGas 200 new Ford F-250 service pickup trucks to run on renewable natural gas. Last year the two companies also partnered to convert 200 service trucks to RNG-powered units. With this year’s partnership, SoCalGas’ fleet will reduce an additional 2,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent with roughly 44% of SoCalGas’ service vehicles running on clean fuels.
