SONATRACH and the Spanish energy group Naturgy signed on 6 October 2022 in Algiers an agreement relating to the sale and purchase contracts of natural gas linking the two companies through the Medgaz gas pipeline. SONATRACH and its partner Naturgy have agreed to revise the prices of existing long-term gas supply contracts in light of market developments, thus ensuring the balance of their contracts on a win-win basis. The two companies have also agreed to continue their discussions on subjects of common interest. Through the contracts that bind it to Naturgy, SONATRACH has delivered over the last decade more than 83 billion cubic meters to its customer on the Spanish market, thus contributing to strengthening the security of gas supplies in this market.
