SONATRACH and Honeywell have expressed their mutual interest in setting up this Memorandum of Understanding and consider that such cooperation will promote the prospects for the exchange of expertise and experience, in terms of improving the performance and technological mastery of SONATRACH's facilities, through a vision of win-win partnership. The implementation of this Memorandum of Understanding with Honeywell, one of SONATRACH's largest suppliers, is part of SONATRACH's strategy to develop and modernize SONATRACH's facilities through the identification of the best technologies for carbon reduction and capture, digitization aimed at improving the operational efficiency of SONATRACH's facilities as well as the mastery of cyber-technologies. Through this collaboration, SONATRACH also aims to implement one of its commitments related to its policy of promoting local content and national integration, namely "The contribution to the development of national capacities in terms of technological mastery in SONATRACH's businesses, through collaboration with foreign partners". Indeed, SONATRACH and Honeywell will examine the possibility of setting up a partnership with the SONATRACH training institute, with a view to creating an accredited center "SONATRACH – Honeywell" in Algeria to cover the certification needs of Algeria and Africa.
