On 9 April 2021, EDF announced the signing of a binding agreement to sell its 1332 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power station and 49MW battery at West Burton B in Nottinghamshire to EIG. Today, further to satisfaction of all necessary conditions precedent, the sale process has completed.

West Burton B facts

West Burton B CCGT was EDF's only gas-fired power station in the UK.

Three combined cycle units with a combined output of 1332 MW - enough electricity for approximately 1.5 million UK homes.

Gas connection: 19KM gas pipeline to supply gas to the site
