Skarta Finland has entered into a Balance of Plant agreement with Uusiutuva Energia Karahka for building a wind park in Oulaisten city in Northern Ostrobothnia. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 32 million. The construction work starts in autumn and the works will be finished for the wind turbine generator installation work in spring 2024. The completion of the project will be by the end of 2024. A total of 25 turbines will be built in Karahka and the nominal capacity of the wind farm will be approximately 170 megawatts. Skarta’s responsibility, in this comprehensive BoP project, will be the earth works-, foundation construction and internal grid works for the wind farm as well as the construction of a substation, main transformers and a 110 kV power line.
