Total & Iberdrola to bid for Danish Offshore Windfarm Thor

Global broad energy company and experienced offshore operator in the Danish North Sea Total has joined forces with one of the world's largest wind power generators Iberdrola to develop plans for an offshore windfarm in Denmark. The 50/50 partnership has been pre-qualified by the Danish Energy Agency to submit a bid for the Thor offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea. Thor will be one of the largest offshore windfarms in the world with a capacity between 800 MW-1,000MW. The partnership is working to develop a competitive bid towards the expected award from the Danish Energy Agency by the end of 2021.

KEY FACTS: THOR OFFSHORE WIND FARM

The wind farm will be connected to the grid between year 2025 and 2027.

The Danish Energy Agency expects to conclude the tendering process with final bids in Q4 2021.
