Indonesian firm Bara Daya Energi has emerged as the lowest bidder for Coal India’s two medium-term tenders to import 6 million tonne of the fuel for supplies to power generators. Bara Daya Energi, which has a tie-up with Gujarat-based GHV India, quoted INR 4,331 crore, while Adani quoted INR 5,080 crore. Coal is to be delivered at western and eastern coastal ports between July 2022 and June 2023. Since its established in 2014, East Kalimantan focussed Bara Daya Energi is one of the leading coal trading in Indonesia. As Indonesia’s 8 largest coal exporter, Bara Daya Energi has established its capability and credibility to sustain dynamic growth over the next several years.
