India’s Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Steel for appointment of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited’s Director Operations Mr Ajit Kumar Saxena as MOIL Limited’s Chairman & Managing Director for a period till the date of his superannuation on 31 December 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. India’s Public Enterprise Selection Board had recommended name of Mr Saxena for the post of CMD of MOIL on 2 September 2022 after interviewing 4 applicantsMr Rakesh Tumane, Director Finance of MOIL LimitedMrs Usha Singh, Director Human Resources of MOIL LimitedMr Ajit Kumar Saxena, Dircctor Operations of RINLMr Sanjay Kulshrestha, Executive Director Rural Electrification Corporation Mr Saxena earned a .Tech in Metallurgy from IIT Banaras Hindu University before going on to earn an MBA. In 1986, Saxena began working as a Management Trainee Technical. Throughout his 33-year of working career with SAIL, he held a variety of duties, beginning with the Bhilai Steel Plant. Also, he is the recipient of the Ministry of Steel's Young Metallurgist of the Year Award for 2000.
