Local media reported that the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has authorized Interpipe Limited to buy out a stake in a joint venture with Vallourec to produce steel pipes for the European market. Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine said “Permission was given to Interpipe Limited (Nicosia, Cyprus) to acquire shares in Vallourec Niko Tube Holding GmbH (Düsseldorf, Germany), which provides an excess of 50% of the votes in the company's supreme management body.”Interpipe and Vallourec announced the creation of a joint venture for the production of line pipes in 2018. In mid-2019, Vallourec Niko Tube entered the production of 20,000 tonnes of pipes per year. Currently, Interpipe runs operations at this asset solely and supplies pipe products to Europe under its brandInterpipe and Vallourec announced in December 2021 the cancellation of cooperation under the Vallourec Niko Tube due to the impossibility to fully load the capacities of this JV due to the preservation of quotas and duties on Ukrainian pipe products in the European market.Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company, a manufacturer of seamless pipes and railway wheels. The company's products are supplied to more than 80 countries around the world through a network of sales offices located in the key markets of Ukraine, the Middle East, North America and Europe.
