Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co signed two contracts worth SAR 292 million (USD 78 million) with Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co to supply steel towers for electricity transmission lines. Under the contracts, the company will provide steel towers for the construction of the power transmission lines, including a 380 KV line between the new Afif BSP and Mahd BSP and a 500 KV line for Saudi-Egypt interconnection project. Both contracts will be executed in 12 monthsAl Yamamah Steel Industries Co had also signed a contract with Arabian Electrical Transmission Line Construction Co Ltd for supplying steel towers for SAR 178.66 million in December 2021 end. The contract includes supplying steel towers for constructing 380 kV link between Buhirah Station and Tabarjal Station for period of 12 months effective from May 2022On 30 November 2021, L&T had awarded USD 54 million towers supply contract to Al Yamamah Steel for 380kV extra high voltage overhead transmission line from Arar Substation to Rafha Substation. Another contract for the supply of steel towers related to the 380 kV extra high voltage overhead transmission line from Rafha substation to Qaisumah substation. The steel manufacturer will deliver the required structures for both projects as of May 2021 until July 2022.
