ArcelorMittal Brasil Targets 30% Women Employees by 2030
On International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, ArcelorMittal Brasil sets the goal of having at least 30% women among its employees by 2030. The challenge is posed for all areas of the company, including operational, administrative and leadership positions. Currently, of the approximately 17 thousand employees of ArcelorMittal Brasil, 14% are women. In the operational area, 7% are women, and in leadership positions, 9%.
The goal is a development of the company's Diversity & Inclusion Program, launched in 2019 with a focus on four dimensions of diversity: Gender Equity, Racial Diversity, People with Disabilities and LGBTI +. In the last two years, within the scope of the Program, the company carried out training and carried out a series of communication and awareness campaigns for employees in order to build a more diverse and inclusive work environment, where respect and tolerance prevail.
