2020 marks the 15th anniversary of the privatization of Kryvorizhstal and the arrival of ArcelorMittal in Ukraine. On this occasion, the company organized a large scale online event with a drawing of valuable gifts.ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih Chief Executive Officer Mauro Longobardo said “I am grateful to all the staff of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih for the fact that despite the challenges associated with the pandemic, together we overcame the first stressful stage and kept the stable operation of the plant in spring. We have not abandoned our strategy of the sustainable development and continued to implement investment projects and eco-modernization. ArcelorMittal considered this potential in Ukraine yet 15 years ago, when, after the transparent privatization of the plant, it came to work in Kryvyi Rih, providing a new level of development for the city and the plant.”
Live broadcast brought together thousands of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih employees, their families and residents of the city. During the live broadcast, the best employees of the company and the winners of online FAIR RACE were awarded. Also, the air was enriched with the performances of creative teams and a popular Ukrainian performer Monatik. In addition, valuable gifts were drawn among all employees of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and its subsidiaries using a lottery method. These are household appliances and electronics: a TV, a smartphone, a laptop, a tablet, a kitchen machine, a vacuum cleaner, a blender, a barbecue grill, a multicooker, an iron, a microwave oven. But the most fortunate was Aleksandr Pestov, a miner of the stoping face of the Underground Mines. He won a super-prize from ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih a new Skoda Octavia A8 car.
