Spanish media has reported that ArcelorMittal in alliance with the Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners fund has submitted bid to purchase 49% stake in renewable energy giant Iberdrola's macro-portfolio of renewables Romeo Project in Spain valued at EUR 1,200 million. Romeo Project is made up of 150 MW of wind power and another 1,100 MW of solar power. Barclays is the bank that Iberdrola has commissioned to lead the auction. Second bidder is Norwegian sovereign wealth fund Norges and a third bidder name is not yet known.
