World’s largest steel maker Baowu Group announced that X-GPa CR1310DP cold rolled steel featuring high corrosion resistance, good coating and advanced surface cold rolling was successfully manufactured in in Baosteel’s Zhanjiang Iron & Steel plant in December 2021 marking a new breakthrough in Baosteel’s R&D and manufacturing. X-GPa CR1310DP can also be applied to other safety and structural car parts that require high corrosion resistance, such as doorsill, seat cross beam, door anti-collision beam, A-pillar and B-pillar. Specifically, it will have great application prospects on parts such as the paint-free seat frame.X-GPa is an ultra-high-strength steel for automobiles made by Baosteel with tensile strength exceeding 1000MPa, which leads and exemplifies the new trend of light-weight material selection for automobile bodies in the world.
