Successful laying of the last set of 500 meter long steel rails at the Xiamen North Station of Fuzhou-Xiamen High-speed Railway on the track bed has marked the completion of the entire line of Fuxia-Xiamen High-speed Railway, the first cross-sea high-speed railway in China. BaoSteel’s Wuhan Iron & Steel has provided a total of 66,000 tonnes of high-speed rails to this project. The rails are required to have high purity, surface quality and flatness. WISCO has carried out the rail quality improvement work in the whole process of production, sales and research in accordance with the four highs standards of rails. The physical quality indicators such as rail inclusions, H content control, surface quality and dimensional accuracy have always been at the leading domestic level.Fuxia-Xiamen High-speed Railway is China's first high-speed railway line in true marine service. Along the line, not only are there frequent typhoons, the climate and environment are high in salt and humidity, but also the bridge-to-tunnel ratio is as high as 84.3%. As an important part of the coastal passage in my country's eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railway engineering network, the Fuxia-Xiamen high-speed railway has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a total length of 530 kilometers of track laying on the main line. After completion and opening to traffic, Fuzhou and Xiamen will realize a one-hour living circle.
