The applause worthy investment ofA $415 million is set to echo through the Erskine Park, NSW site.In perfect alignment with BlueScope's articulated 'future investment priorities,' the crescendo of this endeavor is the birth of an additional metal coating line, christened MCL7. This line, endowed with prodigious capacity, is poised to orchestrate the production of up to 240,000 metric tons per annum of BlueScope's value enhanced, metal coated offerings. A constellation of excellence adorns this ensemble, including the illustrious ZINCALUME® steel, the stalwart TRUECORE® steel, and the very essence that enlivens roofs and walls, feed for the iconic COLORBOND® steel products. The harmonious composition of this project, while awaiting the blessing of NSW Government's planning approval, envisions a fully orchestrated performance, commissioned and operational by the curtain fall of the calendar year 2025. In the overture of this symphony, Mr. Mark Vassella, Managing Director & CEO of BlueScope, takes the spotlight. He pronounced “This significant investment in Australian manufacturing will better enable us to meet our customers' growing demand for steel building and construction products, especially the resplendent notes of TRUECORE® steel light gauge steel framing and the soul-stirring feed for COLORBOND® steel, an emblematic choice for roofing and walling ensembles.”
