The Canada Border Services Agency has announced its affirmative final determination of the first anti-dumping expiry review investigation on certain concrete reinforcing bars originating in or exported from Belarus, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal and Spain, ruling that the revocation of the AD measure is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of these products. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal will conduct an expiry review to determine whether the continued or resumed dumping will injure the domestic industry and will make its decision no later than 2 February 2023.The initial AD investigation was launched on 19 August 2016, based on the application filed by Canadian enterprises ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, AltaSteel, and Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation.
