DMK Launches New Casting Stand at CCM No 2

Ukrainian Dneprovsky Integrated Iron and Steel Works has launched a new stand for the Continuous Casting Machine No 2 at its converter shop. The new lifting and turning stand was shipped to the DMK by the Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant. The dismantling of the old stand lasted for several months, followed by the assembly of a new structure. The loading capacity of the ladles of the new facility is 250-260 tonnes, comparable to the capacity of the melting shop per one melt. The capacity of ladles of the old stand was 230 tonnes. Currently, the first production operations are being successfully performed on the new equipment.

Installation of large equipment was performed by contractors of Metinvest-Promservice LLC.
