Interfax reported that the Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to impose an antidumping duty on ferrosilicon manganese from Georgia for five years in the amount of 21.4-24.22% of the customs value depending on the producer. The investigation established the existence of dumping of imported goods from Georgia and material damages to sectors of the Eurasian Economic Union's economy after the imposition of 26.35% antidumping measures against imports of this product from Ukraine in early December. The decision will go into effect 30 calendar days after its official publication. This decision was made following an antidumping investigation begun by the EEC domestic market protection department on 28 June 28,2021 at the request of the Mechel’s Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Works in West Siberian Electrometallurgical Plant, Temirtau Electrometallurgical Plant and Kazchrome's Aksu Ferroalloys Plant.
