EVRAZ Rocky Mountain Steel Partially Closes as 8 Test COVID19
Local media reported that EVRAZ Rocky Mountain Steel Facility in Pueblo has temporarily idled some operations due to COVID-19 cases in the facility on
Wednesday and plan to reopen on Friday. These sections reportedly include crews working in the steel making facility and the rail plant. Other portions of the facility remain open at while additional cleaning of the facility is done.
According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment EVRAZ currently has a total of nine cases related to the virus; eight positive and one probable case. Contact tracing has been done to identify employees who might've been exposed to individuals with positive tests
The Rocky Mountain Steel Mill had a breakout in mid-September, which also shut down part of the facility.
