Chattisgarh’s leading steel and pellet producer Godavari Ispat & Power Limited’s oard of directors have has approved CAPEX of INR 1000 crores from internal accrual to fund expansion of iron ore mining, benification & pellet capacity. Godavari Ispat & Power is intending to set up 1 million hot metal blast furnace in Raipur for which there will be additional requirement of 1.5 million iron ore pellets. Ari Dongri Iron Ore Mines - 2.35 million tonnes to 3.65 million tonnes Iron Ore Beneficiation Iron Ore Plant at Ari Dongri Mines – 6 million tonnes With proposed increase in iron ore mining capacity, there will be corresponding setup of capacity in the beneficiation of Iron ore as well, both in 18 months at INR 200 crores investments Pelletisation Plant - 2.7 million tonnes .4 million tonnes in 36 months at INR 800 crores investments Godawari Power & Ispat, formally Ispat Godawari, a pioneer constituent belonging to HIRA Group of Industries in Raipur was incorporated in 1999 to set up an integrated steel plant with captive power generation under the guidance of visionary leadership of Mr BL Agrawal. It has dominant presence in the long product segment of the steel industry, mainly into mild steel wire. The company manufactures sponge iron, billets, Ferro alloys, captive power, wires rods (through subsidiary company), steel wires, Oxygen gas, fly ash brick and last but not the least iron ore pellets.
