According to latest data from Steel Ministry’s Joint Plant Committee has revealed that India’s crude steel production in January 2023 has been estimated at 10.68 million tonne, marginally lower than 10.96 million tonnes in January 2022, while finished steel production was 10.04 million tonnes down 3% YoY & finished steel consumption was 10.50 million tonnes up 1% YoY Indian finished steel exports have been provisionally estimated at 580,000 tonnes in January 2023, down 28% YoY but up 33% MoM. During April-January, steel exports stood at 5.33 million tonnes, a decline of 52% YoY
