Italian steel producer’s association Federacciai data shows that the Italian steel industry closed 2021 with a crude steel output of 24.4 million tonnes increasing by 19.8% YoY. Production in the year was also higher than production in 2019 of 23.2 million tonnes, while it was in line with the output recorded in 2018. 2021 was a year characterized by a strong recovery, especially in the period between March and September, largely due to the comparison with the months in 2020 when producers had remained inactive due to the pandemic.Month Wise Steel Production January - 1.9 million tonnesFebruary - 2.1 million tonnesMarch - 2.3 million tonnesApril - 2.1 million tonnesMay - 2.2 million tonnesJune - 2.2 million tonnesJuly - 2.2 million tonnesAugust -1.3 million tonnesSeptember - 2.3 million tonnesOctober - 2.2 million tonnesNovember -2.2 million tonnesDecember -1.5 million tonnesSource – Federacciai
