Latest data released by the Japan Iron & Steel Federation showed that Japan’s carbon steel exports in July 2021 rose by 22.9% on year to about 1.96 million tonnes. The biggest growth was seen in shipments to South Korea and Thailand, while exports to China and the US decreased on the year. The biggest increase was seen in CRC sales, while sales of HRC, HOG plate and long steel also exceeded last year's figures.
