India’s stainless steel leader Jindal Stainless is aiming to double melting capacity to 2.1 million tonnes per annum, HRAP& CRAP, ferrochrome, Precision strip & blade steel at total CAPEX outlay of INR 2,600 crore by expanding Jajpur and Hisar plant. The expansion plans include following investments1. SMS – 1.00 million tonnes by investing INR 530 crores by Q3 of FY232. HRAP - 0.45 million tonnes by investing INR 1250 crores byQ4 of FY233. CRAP- 0.30 million tonnes by Q4 of FY234. Ferrochrome - 0.10 million tonnes by investing INR 315 crores by Q3 of FY245. Precision Strip - 38,000 by investing INR 250 crores by Q4 of FY236. Blade Steel - 10,000 by investing INR 200 crores by Q2 of FY24In addition to volume augmentation, JSL expect increased global market share of precision strip from 3% to over 8% and remain world’s top producer of blade steel
