Chinese steel producer Xinji Aosen Steel Group Co. Ltd. has partnered with Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co. KG for the installation of an advanced RSB® 370++/4 Reducing & Sizing Block in 5.0 design. This marks Xinji Aosen's first foray into Special Bar Quality (SBQ) straight bar production.

Xinji Aosen Steel Group Co. Ltd, a prominent player in the Chinese steel industry, has made a strategic investment by partnering with Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co. KG. Both companies have signed a contract for the installation of a state-of-the-art RSB® 370++/4 Reducing & Sizing Block.

Established in 2002, Xinji Aosen has a broad portfolio that spans from iron and steel smelting to building materials and international trade. With over 8,000 employees, the company has an annual production capacity of 5.05 million metric tons in multiple product categories.

Xinji Aosen is venturing into the Special Bar Quality (SBQ) market with a yearly production capacity of 700,000 metric tons. This significant investment signifies the company's commitment to diversifying its product range.

The KOCKS Reducing & Sizing Block will be crucial in achieving the highest dimensional tolerance for SBQ straight bars, varying from Ø 20.00 to 90.00 mm. This equipment will be positioned after 21 H/V-stands in the rolling mill.

Included in the scope of the supply are remote control adjustments and roll shop equipment. Moreover, the BAMICON Octopus software will facilitate operators in stand and guide preparation, thereby optimizing the tooling process.

The commissioning of this state-of-the-art equipment is planned for the end of 2024, providing enough time for both partners to prepare and optimize all functionalities.

The introduction of this advanced RSB® block is likely to set new standards in the steel industry, particularly in the Special Bar Quality segment, opening new avenues for both domestic and international markets.

This collaboration between Xinji Aosen and Friedrich KOCKS represents a monumental step for both companies. With the scheduled commissioning of the advanced RSB® block by the end of 2024, Xinji Aosen is not just increasing its production capabilities but also entering a new market segment. It's a win-win for both parties involved and a significant advancement for the industry.
