Mechel Supplies Steel for Rosatom’s Proryv Project in Seversk

Mechel Group's metal trading company OOO Mechel-Service has supplied over 350 tonnes of fittings for the construction of facilities for the Proryv project, which is being implemented by the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. During the construction of the complex's facilities, rebar produced by the Mechel’s Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant is used.

Rosatom’s fuel company TVEL’s JSC Siberian Chemical Combine is building in the city of Seversk in Tomsk Region, a unique power complex with a fast-neutron nuclear reactor and a lead coolant. Work is underway at 44 sites on a total area of 42 hectares. A number of nuclear power facilities will be created on the territory of Seversk, including a nuclear power plant, which will include the Brest-300 reactor plant, and a uranium conversion plant
