Russian steel maker MMK’s Head of the Sales Department for the Russian Federation Mr Ivan Radyukevich, while speaking at the 12th All-Russian Conference Steel Pipes: Production and Regional Sales in Chelyabinsk, announced that MMK is the largest supplier of rolling stock for the pipe industry in the Russian Federation with 3.9 million tonnes of hot-rolled steel shipments from the Magnitogorsk production site, of which about 60% was delivered to pipe companies. About 70% of rolled products for the pipe industry were sent to the Urals, the Volga region and Siberia.In April 2021, a new electronic sales channel was launched and is successfully developing through its own marketplace market.mmk.ru. More than 3,300 users are registered on it. The average sales rates in the fourth quarter of last year approached the level of 3,000 tonnes of products per month. Further promotion and development of the corporate marketplace is planned. The creation of MMK's production and logistics center in Togliatti also serves to develop customer focus. In March of this year, the warehouse complex began its work. The launch of the main production lines is planned for July 2022.In addition, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works is itself a pipe manufacturer, producing round, galvanized and shaped pipes.
