Ukranian media reports suggest that Ukraine's richest man Mr Rinat Akhmetov is planning to file a lawsuit Russia over the destruction of his assets in Russian invasion of Ukraine, demanding appropriate reimbursement for all costs and lost revenue. Mr Rinat told NV “Assets such as the Azovstal steel plant, the Illich Steel and Iron Works, the Avdiivka Coke Plant, the Luhansk Thermal Power Plant and dozens of other industrial infrastructure and green energy facilities are partially or completely demolished since the onset of the invasion. The pre-war market capitalisation of two Mariupol enterprises Azovstal & Illich Steel was around USD 10 billion. USD 1 billion worth of raw materials have also been destroyed by Russia.
