NLMK Group unveils a strategic initiative with the upgrade of its beneficiation equipment at Stoilensky. The replacement of two ball mills in two sections of the Beneficiation Plant, out of a total of four, marks a pivotal move to revolutionize ore processing capabilities. The implementation is poised to significantly enhance processing capacity by an impressive 2.5 million metric tons per year and augment concentrate output by 1 million metric tons per year, slated for completion by 2024.
The installation of four new mills featuring 15% larger drums was seamlessly executed without disruption to ongoing production activities. This enhancement was complemented by structural upgrades to the core mill units, aimed at fortifying equipment reliability and durability, ensuring sustained operational efficiency.
The primary objective of this extensive project is to impeccably fulfill the iron ore material demands at NLMK Lipetsk. The substantial investment, exceeding $100 million, underscores the strategic importance and long-term vision guiding the Group's operations.
