<p>Despite facing several stiff challenges ranging from Covid-19 pandemic, acute coking coal shortages & yearlong protests against privatization, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited has closed FY 2021-22 on a high note by registering a record production of 5.773 million tonnes of hot metal, 5.272 million tonnes of crude steel and 5.138 million tonnes of saleable steel, which is the best ever production, since inception. RINL also registered best ever sales performance since inception with a record sales turnover of INR 28,008 crores, 56% higher than FY 2020-21. RINL also achieved best ever export sales of INR 5607 Crores registering a growth of 37% YoY</p><p>RINL also performed well on achieving significant techno-economic factors and it has for the first time achieved Annual average PCI injections of 100 kg/tHM. Specific Energy Consumption has reduced to 6.02 Gcal/tCS during the period.</p>
