Steel Authority of India Limited’s Bokaro Steel Plant has won Greentech Environment & Sustainability Award 2022 in Environment Protection Category for responsible, innovative practices and initiatives towards achieving sustainable goals. Bokaro Steel Plant has taken the drive for conversion of Waste to Wealth and has earned substantial revenue during the last few years by proper waste utilization and its use as input material inside plant and in other industries. Bokaro Steel Plant’s Environment Control Department had filed an application on behalf of the plant in the Environment Protection category. The Jury was quite impressed with the dynamic initiatives of Bokaro Steel Plant for Environment Protection and its efforts to create Eco-Friendly products out of Waste materials generated during the steel making process. The award will be presented during 22nd Annual Greentech Environment & Sustainability Summit scheduled on August 23 at Vivanta by Taj in Guwahati.
