Mr Dmitry Vanev has been appointed as General Director off tubular production Izhora Pipe Plant of Severstal Russian Steel Division. Severstal Russian Steel Division’s Deputy General Director & Director of Rolling Production Mr Nikolai Savenkov said “Dmitry Igorevich has the necessary managerial and professional competencies. He worked in various divisions of the Kolpino site of Severstal. His knowledge and experience, as well as the best practices of the entire rolling industry, will provide synergistic results in increasing production efficiency, reducing costs, expanding the product line and developing customer service. Dmitry Vanev is also faced with the task of modernizing the production of tubular products in order to improve the quality and increase the volume of products.” Mr Artem Akinfiev, who previously held this position, will continue to work at Severstal as head of the production planning and logistics directorate. He will be responsible for planning the execution of production orders within the Downstream direction. Kolpino St Petersburg Russia based Izhora Pipe Mill specializes in manufacturing large diameter pipes from strip made by Cherepovets Steel Mill. Header pipes of large diameter are used primarily for major pipeline construction projects aimed at implementation of energy strategy of Russia.
