<p>Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau’s Peruvian subsidiary Siderperu will invest USD 20 million in 2022 to expand its existing rolling mill capacity. The investment will be carried out in separate phases and projects. The investment should add a rolling mill capacity of between 80,000-100,000 tonne per year. Siderperu expects to finished works at a new pipe plant located in Chimbote by 2022-end.</p><p>Siderperu’s tube production factor will have two production lines. The first is for certain diameters and qualities and whose works culminated in 2021, which required an investment of US D 2.7 million dollars. Siderperu expects to install a second steel tube line by October - November. </p><p>Additionally, to support to two tube lines, Siderperu will also invest in power plants.</p>
