<p>South Ural State University in partnership with SMS Group at the site of the Russian steel maker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works will work out new technologies for the digitalization of metallurgical processes. This was announced by the rector of the university Mr Alexander Shestakov at a meeting with students dedicated to the opening of the student coworking loft space. He said “You can get a lot of competencies at our university. I have just returned from Magnitogorsk. There is an agreement with MMK and the world leader in the field of metallurgy, SMS Group, that SUSU will become an innovative platform for the development of digital, hydrogen technologies, as well as artificial intelligence technologies in metallurgy.”</p><p>SUSU has the necessary competencies in the field of fundamental sciences, in particular, in physical and mathematical modeling of equipment and technological processes. The participation of university students and postgraduates in the development and implementation of new technologies will increase the scientific potential and, at the same time, prepare specialists who are competitive in the world market.</p>
