Leading global steel maker Tata Steel announced that its crude steel production was 7.66 million tonnes in April-June Quarter of 2022, almost flat, while total sales were 6.53 million tonnes, down 4% YoYSteel Production – April-June 2022Tata Steel India - 4.92 million tonnes, up 6% YoYTata Steel Europe - 2.43 million tonnes, down 9% YoYTata Steel Thailand - 0.31 million tonnes, down 11% YoYSteel Sales – April-June 2022Tata Steel India - 4.06 million tonnes, down 2% YoYTata Steel Europe - 2.16 million tonnes, down 7% YoYTata Steel Thailand - 0.31 million tonnes, down 11% YoYIndia - Deliveries at 4.06 million tonnes were lower by 2% YoY due to moderation in exports following the imposition of 15% export duty. However, Domestic deliveries were ramped up leveraging our strong marketing network & agile business model and increased by 5% YoY. Automotive & Special Products’ segment deliveries increased by 22% YoY on broad based recovery across all sub-segments. Branded Products & Retail’ segment deliveries were broadly similar. Tata Tiscon registered its best ever first quarter sales enabled by expanded physical and virtual reach. Industrial Products & Projects’ segment deliveries increased by 8% YoY, primarily driven by increase in sales of value-added products to key segments like Engineering etc. Revenues from Tata Steel Aashiyana during the quarter, an e-commerce platform for Individual Home builders, grew by 77% YoY to INR 457 crores.
