Avenue Mail has reported that Tata Steel and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research’s Central Building Research Institute have signed an MOU to collaborate on research, academic growth, and sustainable solutions in mining. Under the agreement, CBRI will provide scientific inputs to Tata Steel on slope stability analysis and control measures in mining areas, as well as affordable and sustainable green housing technologies for the rehabilitation and resettlement of families in mining areas. Additionally, the partnership will include technical training and workshops on geotechnical understanding and other scientific areas related to mining. CBRI, located in Roorkee in Uttarakhand, is responsible for generating, cultivating, and promoting building science and technology in India as a constituent establishment of CSIR.
