<p>Seamless pipes manufacturer Tenaris has successfully delivered the first batch of products for the Sakarya pipeline in offshore Turkey. Tenaris was awarded the supply of 68,000 tonnes of pipes in varied outside diameters and wall thicknesses for the development of the pipeline, as well as anticorrosion and concrete coatings, anode pads installation, buckle arrestors and TenFitTM services, which includes the laser end measurement of 100% of the pipes, plus tailored family identification grouping.</p><p>The Sakarya gas field is located approximately 150km off the coast of Turkey in the ultra-deep waters in Black Sea and has a confirmed capacity of 405 billion cubic metres. Upon completion of the first phase in 2023, the field will deliver ten million cubic metres of gas per day to the Turkish grid. The development is expected to meet approximately 30% of the domestic natural gas demand.</p><p>The Sakarya project entails a high level of project management as Tenaris covers different services and all the related logistics, not only coordinating and integrating different operations performed by a variety of suppliers, but also working under a tight schedule, with the goal of producing first gas by 2023.</p>
