Moscow Russia headquartered Russian Pipe Metallurgical Company’s ETERNO enterprise has supplied the Ural Steel plant with customized products of a new heavy engineering product line - roller segments of a continuous casting machine. The batch includes two roller segments with a length of 850mm, a width of 1020mm and a height of 2900mm, which are designed to perform various operations with a metal ingot during the continuous casting of a billet: support, guiding, straightening, pulling and transport. Products are made of structural calibrated corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant steel.The product consists of a frame, channels for cooling, pipes for supplying grease to the rollers and supports for installing segments in the CCM line. Prior to shipment, the equipment passed hydraulic tests and verification of the geometrical parameters of the landing surfaces using a high-precision coordinate measuring system.
