Třinecké Železárny has contracted SMS group’s subsidiary Paul Wurth to construct a new hot blast stove for feeding blast furnace number 4 at its Třinec site in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. The new facility boasts a state-of-the-art design, thus ensuring a high level of reliability, long service life, and far lower emissions compared to competing designs.This Paul Wurth-designed hot blast stove, featuring an external combustion chamber, represents the latest and best in ironmaking technology. SMSGroup is dedicated to ensuring that its range of solutions is the cleanest, greenest, most versatile and durable available to steel producers around the world.Paul Wurth has collaborated with Třinecké Železárny in the past, most recently completing an order to reline blast furnace number 6 in autumn 2021. This included coordination activities with the teams in Germany and locally in the Czech Republic.
