Local media has reported that two workers died and four others are injured in an explosion at Great India Steel in Rampur road in the Ludhiana district’s Doraha town in Punjab. The police said two of the workers were taken to Sidhu Hospital nearby where they were declared dead, while the others are undergoing treatment there. Police said “The blast took place in the boiler of the factory’s gasification unit on 20 December morning where the six workers were present.” Police is checking if there was any negligence on the part of the unit owners and an FIR is being registered
