UD DoC Announces Anti Dumping Duty on PC Strand Imports

US Department of Commerce has announced affirmative preliminary determinations in the antidumping duty investigations of prestressed concrete

steel wire strand from Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, South Africa, Spain, Tunisia, & Ukraine. Commerce preliminarily determined that exporters from the countries listed below have dumped PC strand in the United States at the following rates

2.96 to 72.28 percent for Indonesia

3.67 to 19.26 percent for Italy

3.70 to 18.93 percent for Malaysia

14.75 percent for Spain

19.32 percent for Ukraine

32.72 percent for Tunisia

59.27 percent for South Africa

Commerce will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to collect cash deposits from importers of PC strand from these seven countries based on the preliminary rates noted above.

The petitioners are Insteel Wire Products Company of Mount Airy in North Carolina, Sumiden Wire Products Corporation of Dickson in Tenessee and Wire Mesh Corporation of Houston in Texas).

Commerce is scheduled to announce its final determinations in these cases on or about April 2, 2021.
