The US Department of Commerce has announced the final results of the sunset review of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel wire rod from India. As a result of this expedited sunset review, the US Department of Commerce found that revocation of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel wire rods from India would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping. The dumping margin is up to 48.8% for the country. The antidumping duties for India are applicable from 27 July 2022. On 2 May 2022, US DOC had published the notice of initiation of the sunset review of the AD order on stainless steel wire rod from India. The domestic interested parties are Carpenter Technology, North American Stainless and Universal Stainless & Alloy Products. The merchandise are stainless steel wire rod from India, which are hot-rolled or hot-rolled annealed and or pickled rounds, squares, octagons, hexagons or other shapes, in coils. The stainless steel wire rods are currently classifiable under subheadings 7221.00.0005, 7221.00.0017, 7221.00.0018, 7221.00.0030, 7221.00.0045 and 7221.00.0075 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.
