American Iron & Steel Institute reported that in the week ending on February 12, 2022, domestic raw steel production was 1,758,000 net tons while the capability utilization rate was 79.8 percent. Production was 1,740,000 net tons in the week ending February 12, 2021 while the capability utilization then was 76.8 percent. The current week production represents a 1.0 percent increase from the same period in the previous year.
