Production was 1.735 million net tons in the week ending 28 January 2022 while the capability utilization then was 79.8%. The current week production represents a 5.8% decrease from the same period in the previous year. Production for the week ending 28 January 2023 is up 0.9% from the previous week ending 21 January 2023 when production was 1.620 million net tons and the rate of capability utilization was 72.5%Southern: 690,000 net tonGreat Lakes: 544,000 net tonMidwest: 201,000 net tonNorth East: 130,000 net tonWestern: 70,000 net ton Adjusted year-to-date production through 28 January 2023 was 6.452 million net tons, at a capability utilization rate of 72.1%. That is down 7.0% from the 6.941 million net tons during the same period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 79.8%
