Vietnam Steel Association announced that finished steel production in Vietnam totaled 3.34 million tonnes in March, increasing by 29.2% MoM & 6.8% YoY, while steel product sales in increased by 21.3% MoM & 2.4% YoY to 3.12 million tonne. In the January-March 2022, steel production in Vietnam increased by 3.2% YoY to 8.45 million tonnes, while steel sales in the country rose by 11.9% YoY to 8.14 million tonne. Vietnam’s steel exports reached 1.82 million tonne, up by 7.7% YoY.
