Mechel Group’s Posyet Trading Port has put into operation the first stage of dust and wind screens. The cost of the project is estimated at 180 million rubles. The length of the first stage of dust and wind protection fences is 82 meters, they partially closed the port area from the side of the village of Posyet. The full system of dust and wind screens is planned to be put into operation in 2023. The total length of the enclosing structures along the port perimeter will be 550 meters. Protective screens are perforated wave sheets 1.5 mm thick. The height varies from 5 to 20 meters. They contribute to the dissipation of air flows and reduce wind speed so that suspended particles that enter the air as a result of coal storage and transshipment remain within the port and are deposited due to the operation of stationary and mobile dust suppression units. The company has a comprehensive environmental program. Various solutions have been implemented to minimize environmental impact. Unloading of coal is carried out by car dumpers in a closed building equipped with an aspiration system, which makes it possible to prevent the ingress of coal dust into the atmosphere. Transfer stations are also equipped with aspiration systems. Conveyor lines are covered with metal galleries to prevent dust formation. When pouring coal into the warehouse, the products are moistened with the help of water-dispersion plants, which are equipped with reclaimer stackers. In the 2nd quarter of 2022, automated equipment for dust suppression at storage sites was fully launched, including 23 sprinkler installations. With the commissioning of the ship-loading machine, scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year,
